Our Story
Pakwach is a destination of extraordinary sights and infinite adventure starting with the thrilling game drive in the wild where you will see a myriad of animals through the tracks and into the Savannah that serves an array of stunning flora and fauna of Murchison Falls National Park. Perhaps elephants flapping their ears under Palmyra (Tugu) palm trees. At the turn of your head will be majestic giraffes with their long necks eating leaves off Acacia trees. Not far away is a herd of buffaloes grazing in the depths of the grassland. Perhaps a drive further will cast a live scene of a lion yawning, then walking like the king it is unbothered by your presence, a sight that will fill you with unexplainable elation; most definitely a memorable adventure in the wild.

Cottages
The resort is primarily seated on 2.5 acres of pristine land, offering exclusivity and privacy for our guests to be one with nature and enjoy the tranquillity of our luxurious African themed lodging; overlooking the vast Nile waters that are highlighted and capped by the clear blue sky on the horizon. Our guests can enjoy this beautiful view and the soothing sound of the gentle water waves from a private deck of any one of our six spacious, cool grass thatched cottages overlooking the river.
Bar
Relax at the lounge with your favourite cold drink from our fully stocked bar or sit outside in our very well-manicured and lush gardens that give the perfect setting for reflection. Enjoy the cool water breeze as you lay on the hammock by the river front and transport yourself a thousand miles away from the hustle and bustle of a busy daily life.
Kitchen
From our kitchen, our chef puts out the finest 3-course meals that await you in our dining area. The menu is Continental, incorporated with our Luo cuisine to allow our guests experience our food culture and local ingredients picked from our own Nile Treatz kitchen garden. An adventure awaits the fish lovers with a variety of our local fish species (about 65) – only unique to this part of the Nile – to try and taste.
Gardens
As the day fades into the evening, watch the sun set cast an orange reflection on the surface of the Nile; a glamorous show of the beauty of nature when the night sometimes brings the moon over the Nile. Sit by the bonfire and participate in storytelling sessions. Become a night watcher and wait to see our friendly neighbourhood Hippo-Gloria emerge from the water to take a casual stroll on dry land. She comes out occasionally, to lounge a little on the beach front and leaves behind her huge signature footprints for us to find in the morning.

Located by the river and close to a landing site, the owner definitely understands the tourism market and is building it with the customer’s interest at heart. They plan to open it by the first quarter of 2022 and i am sure it will be a great deal
